Meet Andy Schabell
Current Mayor of Alexandria • Lifelong Campbell County resident • Candidate for Judge Executive
My name is Andy Schabell. Amanda and I were married in 2005, and together we have three children — Katlyn, Brooklyn, and John. I’m a graduate of Bishop Brossart High School and earned my bachelor’s degree in Police Administration from Eastern Kentucky University.
From 1997 to 2002, I volunteered with the Cold Spring/Crestview Volunteer Fire Department as a firefighter and nationally certified Emergency Medical Technician. That experience gave me a deep respect for the challenges faced by first responders and a lasting appreciation for the importance of public safety and preparedness.
I am currently serving my second term as Mayor of Alexandria, Kentucky, after previously serving six years on City Council. I also serve on the Board of Directors for the Northern Kentucky Area Development District. Outside of public service, I work as a Corporate Transportation Manager for Darling Ingredients in Cold Spring and help coach the Bishop Brossart High School Bass Fishing Team.
As a lifelong Campbell County resident, I’ve watched our communities grow and change over the years. Those experiences have shaped how I approach leadership — listening first, planning carefully, and focusing on practical solutions that protect neighborhoods and maintain the quality of life residents expect and deserve.
Throughout my time as mayor, I’ve focused on honesty, integrity, and open communication. I’ve worked to stay accessible, listen to residents, and lead in a way that earns trust and delivers results.
I look forward to continuing those conversations, hearing your ideas, and working together to keep Campbell County a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
If there’s anything you’d like to discuss, I’d welcome the opportunity to hear from you at Andy4CampbellCounty@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
